Every member of our Dayton, OH team is professional and well trained. We conduct a thorough screening and interviewing process to identify the best home health care providers, and only those who pass this process go on to complete training to deliver our special brand of home care and become Comfort Keepers. What truly sets our people apart, though, is their natural gift for caring for others.

Our home health care providers are some of the most highly trained and well supported in the industry. We require all applicants to already have at least a year of experience prior to joining our team. After being hired, every caregiver undergoes ongoing training to make sure their skills are up to date. Registered Nurses (RNs) ensure that any questions that come up during training can be answered effectively.

Kristina Butler, RN

Owner/ Founder

Kristina Butler, RN founded the Comfort Keepers organization in 1998. Kristina worked as a home health care nurse for several years prior to starting Comfort Keepers. Kristina currently owns four franchise territories in the Miami Valley and one office West Chester; providing the leading home care services in the area.  

Carrie Newman, LPN

General Manager

Carrie Newman has been with Comfort Keepers since November 2012.  Carrie has several years of experience as an LPN working in Acute Care, Long Term Care and Rehab. Prior to nursing, Carrie worked in Customer Service and Management. She currently manages our day to day operations as our General Manager, assisting in all departments of our company. Carrie is happy to have found a position where her nursing experience is just as important as her management and customer service experience. She enjoys working in a role that allows her to help employees and clients! 

Heather Dill

Marketing Manager

Heather joined Comfort Keepers in 2016. However, she has been a part of Comfort Keepers since its inception in 1998 when her parents, Kristina Butler and Jerry Clum, founded the Company. Heather graduated from Case Western Reserve University in 2010 with a degree in Business Management concentrated in Marketing and a Minor in Entrepreneurship.

Heather manages all aspects of the company's marketing efforts.
 

Gloria Esterline

Accounting & Payroll Manager

Gloria Esterline has been with Comfort Keepers since June 2007. Gloria has previous experience in the home health care and accounting fields. She is responsible for the coordination of payroll, billing and collections.  Her favorite parts of her job are working with numbers, forming telephone friendships with some of our clients and working for a company that is helping those who need it. 

Rachel Hughes

Client Services Manager

Rachel has been with Comfort Keepers since August of 2012. Rachel has prior experience in home care and management. She enjoys making sure clients are living independent lives in the comfort and safety of their own homes. Rachel’s primary responsibilities at Comfort Keepers is making sure that each client is getting the care they deserve. Rachel enjoys working for Comfort Keepers because she wants clients to be able to stay in their own homes living independently as long as they can.

Michelle Angles

Payroll Specialist

Michelle has been with Comfort Keepers since 2012.  Michelle has prior experience in bookkeeping and timesheet auditing, with an associates degree in accounting.  In her current role with Comfort Keepers, Michelle is responsible for auditing caregiver schedules for accuracy and billing, determining caregiver payroll and guiding employees with payroll questions. Michelle enjoys her job because she likes working with numbers.

 

Melissa Vanover, LPN

Client Care Coordinator: Springfield

Melissa has been with Comfort Keepers since 2012.  Melissa has several years of experience in the long term care field.  Melissa is currently responsible for overseeing the care of clients in the Springfield Area.

Marykay Tackett

Scheduling Coordinator: Springfield

Marykay has been with Comfort Keepers since 2008.  Marykay was employed as a caregiver and promoted to Scheduler in 2013. Marykay has more than 18 years of experience in daycare operations. Marykay currently works in the scheduling department and is responsible for customer service and scheduling clients with caregivers in Springfield and surrounding areas. 

Marykay is able to adapt to emergency situations of changing schedules due to new clients coming in. She compares working on schedules its like putting a big puzzle together, everything just has to fit just perfect to be complete.

Diana Workman

Kyla Jones

Senior HR Generalist

Kyla joined Comfort Keepers in October of 2017. She has a Master’s Degree in Human Resources and has had over 5 years of experience in management. As Senior HR Generalist, Kyla handles all Human Resources related issues – ranging from benefits to leaves of absence. In June of 2018, she took on the supervisory role for Comfort Keepers’ caregivers as well. Kyla loves working with people and developing strong, lasting relationships with her co-workers and caregivers. She is happy to have joined the Comfort Keepers team and hopes to stay for many years to come.

Mari Russell

Community Liaison

Mari Russell has been with Comfort Keepers since March of 2018 as the community liaison.  Mari has several years of experience in home health care marketing.  Mari covers nine counties in the Miami Valley territory where she promotes Comfort Keepers as well as builds relationships with new and existing customers.  Mari enjoys working with the community and keeping clients in their own home.  

Heather Adams

On Call Coordinator

Heather has been with Comfort Keepers since March 2018. 

Heather has a Bachelor's of Science degree from Ohio State University and 4 years experience as a home health aide 

She is responsible for scheduling caregivers after hours. She likes matching clients to caregivers with the best fit in both experience as well as personality. She enjoys being able to contribute to providing the best possible in home care to our clients as well as a pleasant work environment for our caregivers. 

Kim Bass

Scheduler: Dayton and Beavercreek

Kim has been with Comfort Keepers since December 2017. She has 20 years experience as an STNA and education in business/ medical office operations. She is currently a scheduler for our Dayton territory and likes the daily challenge of figuring out the schedules and enjoys the people she works with.
